Student Faculty Mixer!There's gonna be a student-faculty mixer this tuesday together with the math club. Alas, not much information is known about this as of now, but I promise to keep things updated! I believe that a regular chess meeting will be held however in the UC Caffee, so if all you want to do is just sit down and play a game of chess, just come on down to the Caffee.Club News • February 27th, 2007 - Joint meeting with the Math Club in A18A Porter Hall. Be there at 6pm for some good times! • February 5th, 2007 - Meeting locations for this week have changed. Check out the schedule for the latest updates. • January 20th, 2007 - Meetings succesfully moved to the UC. Some meetings are still in other place (ie Baker and Porter) but the majority are in the UC! Woot! Hopefully this will be a less intimidating place to hold the meetings, thus attracting more members. • January 17th, 2007 - New officer added: Advertising Coordinator Daniel Gordon. Check out his email under contacts. • November 8th, 2006 - Upcoming workshop. Taught by Blaze Iliev. • October 31st, 2006 - Instead of the regular Tuesday meeting the Math Club has invited us to their Halloween Party in the 5th floor lobby of Wean Hall. The event starts at 7pm. You can wear a costume if you have one, though it is not required, either way, come, it's gonna be a blast! Meeting of Wednesday of this week will be held as usual. • October 24th, 2006 - Upcoming workshop. Topic has yet to be picked. • October 14th, 2006 - There is an upcoming tournament this Sunday October 15th. • October 14th, 2006 - Access is finally granted to me for the site and I can start uploading the files, w00! • October 12th, 2006 - The Chess Club has a new Constitution. It briefly explains the purpose of the club along with the democracy of election of representatives and officers. • October 10th, 2006 - New workshop scheduled to be on October 11th. Basic to intermediate techniques discussed. • September 23rd, 2006 - New officers chosen. Refer to contact list. |
